Kids Snowboard Goggles - Are you taking the kids Skiing, Snowboarding or Sledding this season?

2012-2013 Kids Snowboard Goggles have arrived online at the Sunglass Garage!

Don't forget that those crazy kids (tots and teens alike) need some eye protection so they can be ultimate shredders too. Keep 'em safe and style'n all at the same time with snow goggles from Sunglass Garage.

Protecting your kids eyes on the slopes is an extremely important (and often overlooked) part of snow safety precaution. They need the same protection that adults do. You need to protect those tiny peepers from the harsh glare that often comes off of snowy surfaces. Make sure the kids goggles you choose have UVA and UVB protection to filter out those harmful rays. You also want to protect them from all of the crazy objects that are flying around during snow activities.... ski poles, skis, snowboards, boots, ice chunks, snowballs, tree branches, other kids, and even that out-of-control adult novice.... need I say more? Eye injuries can ruin your otherwise fabulous snowy activities. Simply put, don't let it happen!

Be sure to plan ahead, folks! You probably don't want to wait until you get to the mountain to buy the kids their snow goggles. Ordering online will give you a better selection at much lower prices. If you wait, you'll be forced into whatever snow goggles the ski shop happens to have on hand – often at more expensive prices!

We've got a great selection of quality kids snow goggles at low prices at the Sunglass Garage...what are you waiting for?

Kaenon's “NEVER COMPROMISE” Approach to Technology
Glass wasn’t strong enough... Polycarbonate wasn’t clear enough... Neither material allowed for adequate customization of tints and Light Transmission Levels. So Kaenon set out to develop its own, completely new lens material. Kaenon’s proprietary SR-91 is the only lens material that combines the superior optical quality of the finest glass and the lightweight, strength and impact resistance of polycarbonate. All of the best properties... No compromises. No short-cuts.

SR-91 was created with performance in mind – requiring extreme light weight and impact-resistance, for the ultimate protection from more than the sun. SR-91 exceeds ANSI Z.87.1 standards for high impact resistance. Paired with Glare 86®, Kaenon’s exclusive and proprietary polarizing element, this proprietary polarized lens technology reduces glare up to 99.9% and provides complete protection against all harmful UV rays. At an incredible 30 microns thin, Glare 86 is completely encapsulated inside the lens. Ultra-lightweight and thin, Kaenon's SR-91 material has a naturally high strength-to-weight ratio. This translates into superior comfort when worn for extended periods of time. Additionally, SR-91, despite its lightweight properties, is an extremely durable lens material which features superior scratch-resistance as compared to polycarbonate lenses, providing razor-sharp clarity.

So what is Polarization anyway? The images below demonstrate the glare reduction that a polarized lens provides. Kaenon's polarized lens offers better superior clarity, impact protection, and glare reduction all in an ultra-lightweight lens. Eliminate glare and see what you’ve been missing.

Snow Goggle Buying Guide

Get ready! Its gonna snow... I can feel it. And when it does, you'll want to be prepared to hit the slopes at a moment's notice. One of the most important pieces of gear you'll need is a great pair of snow goggles. Eye protection is essential when hurling yourself down an icy mountain dodging pine trees as you shred.

When deciding on the right pair of snow goggles, ask yourself what you want your eyewear to do for you. There are many features you should consider including:
  • 100% UV Protection: Even in the winter, the sun can cause major damage to your eyes if you're not choosing the right protection.
  • Anti-Fog Technology: Make sure you've got a pair of snow goggles with proper venting so they won't constantly fog up on you. This can be both annoying and dangerous if it compromises your vision.
  • Frame Fit: Do you have a small, medium or large-sized head? There are snow goggles made specifically for kids (or adults with small heads). There are goggles sized for people with gigantic domes as well. Pick one that is comfortable for you. Make sure the frame is flexible enough that it doesn't cause any uncomfortable pressure points on your face. Does it sit snug all the way around your face? Is the strap adjustable to give you a customized fit?
  • Helmet Integration: Does it integrate seamlessly with your helmet?
  • Lens Tint: Mirror coatings are simply about aesthetics and a "cool factor". The tint beneath the mirror is actually functional. What types of lighting conditions will you riding in? Choose a tint that will filter the light accordingly.
  • Polarized Lenses: They usually cost a little bit more than non-polarized lenses. But they'll significantly reduce glare that can reflect off of the bright white snow and ice. This is a useful upgrade that can help relax the eye and prevent straining.
  • Interchangeable Lenses: If you'll be riding in lots of different lighting conditions, you may want a goggle that allows you to change out lenses as the light conditions change.
  • Lens Coatings: Anti-scratch and anti-reflective coatings are available.
  • Goggle Storage: Get a cleaning cloth, storage bag and/or storage case so you can protect your investment while you're off the slopes.
Now that you've got a good idea of what to look for in a new pair of snow goggles, start shopping online at SunglassGarage.com. We've got the best snow goggle lenses in the industry paired with awesome straps and killer design and color combinations. Grab your favorite pair, then get out there and ride!
